Sanofi shares update on MOBILIZE phase 3 study of riliprubart in chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy
Posted on June 16, 2026
Sanofi has announced that the riliprubart MOBILIZE phase 3 study, which enrolled patients with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) who had not responded adequately to standard-of-care treatment, will be discontinued. The move comes after an independent data monitoring committee carried out an interim analysis and concluded that the study was unlikely to demonstrate sufficient efficacy. No safety concerns tied to riliprubart emerged from this review. Whether other ongoing riliprubart studies continue, including the VITALIZE phase 3 study examining IVIg-treated patients with CIDP, will be assessed separately going forward.
Sanofi extends its sincere gratitude to the patients, caregivers, and investigators whose participation made the MOBILIZE study possible.
The company will collaborate closely with investigators and site teams to manage an orderly wind-down of the study, ensuring all enrolled patients receive an appropriate transition in their care. Sanofi also intends to carry out a comprehensive review of the data gathered through MOBILIZE, with the aim of shaping future research efforts and adding to the broader scientific understanding of CIDP.
Financial considerations:
Ending the MOBILIZE phase 3 study is not expected to carry any meaningful financial impact, and Sanofi’s financial guidance for 2026 remains unchanged.
