Novartis to present new remibrutinib and Kesimpta multiple sclerosis data at MSToronto2026

Novartis will present a broad set of new multiple sclerosis findings at MSToronto2026, including late breaking Phase III results for remibrutinib and additional clinical data for Kesimpta.

The company will share 46 abstracts at the 10th Joint ACTRIMS-ECTRIMS Meeting, covering several stages of multiple sclerosis treatment and different patient populations.

A key presentation will feature results from the Phase III REMODEL-1 and REMODEL-2 studies evaluating remibrutinib in relapsing multiple sclerosis.

Remibrutinib is an oral Bruton’s tyrosine kinase inhibitor being investigated as a potential treatment for the disease.

The REMODEL studies compared remibrutinib with teriflunomide and have previously produced positive topline results.

Novartis said the late breaking presentation will provide further information on the efficacy and safety profile observed across the two Phase III trials.

The company will also hold a virtual investor event following presentation of the REMODEL results to discuss the findings and the potential role of remibrutinib in multiple sclerosis.

Nazem Atassi, Global Head of Neuroscience and Gene Therapy Development at Novartis, said the company’s presentations reflect its continued focus on addressing unmet needs across different stages of multiple sclerosis and throughout patients’ lives.

Another late breaking presentation will focus on the Phase III NEOS study of Kesimpta, also known as ofatumumab, in paediatric multiple sclerosis.

The trial compares ofatumumab and siponimod with fingolimod in children and adolescents with the disease.

Novartis said the findings could add to the limited evidence currently available to guide treatment decisions in paediatric multiple sclerosis.

Additional Kesimpta data will come from the Phase IIIb STHENOS study.

The study evaluates ofatumumab against physicians’ choice of commonly used disease modifying therapies in treatment-naive people with relapsing multiple sclerosis.

Novartis plans to present final efficacy and safety findings from STHENOS alongside analyses of healthcare resource utilisation.

The company will also report interim findings from the Phase IV KATHAROS study examining whether ofatumumab is excreted into breast milk among women with relapsing multiple sclerosis.

Separate results from the PRIM study will provide updated evidence on pregnancy and infant outcomes following exposure to ofatumumab.

Together, the presentations are intended to expand the evidence base for Novartis’ multiple sclerosis portfolio across treatment-naive patients, children and adolescents, and women considering pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Detailed REMODEL-1 and REMODEL-2 results are scheduled for presentation on October 23 at MSToronto2026, alongside the Phase III NEOS paediatric multiple sclerosis findings.
