Nouscom raises €120 million to advance NOUS-209 cancer interception programme in Lynch syndrome
Posted on October 19, 2026
Nouscom has raised €120 million, or approximately $135 million, in an oversubscribed Series D financing to support the development of its lead cancer interception programme, NOUS-209.
The financing was co-led by M Ventures and Revelation Partners, with participation from new investors including Angelini Industries, the European Investment Bank and Neva SGR.
Existing investors including 5AM Ventures, Andera Partners, Angelini Ventures, Bpifrance, CDP Venture Capital, EQT Life Sciences, Indaco Venture Partners, Panakes Partners, Versant Ventures and XGEN Ventures also participated.
Nouscom said proceeds from the financing will support advancement of NOUS-209 into a global registration-enabling clinical trial for cancer interception in people with Lynch syndrome.
NOUS-209 is an investigational off-the-shelf neoantigen-based cancer immunotherapy designed to stimulate immune responses against tumour-associated neoantigens before cancer develops.
The company is also presenting long-term clinical findings from its Phase Ib/II study of NOUS-209 in Lynch syndrome carriers at the 2026 European Society for Medical Oncology Congress in Madrid.
According to the abstract, all evaluable participants receiving NOUS-209 remained free of advanced adenomas and colorectal cancer during years one and two of follow-up.
The analysis included 43 evaluable Lynch syndrome carriers in year one and 17 in year two.
Nouscom said the findings provide an encouraging signal of durable clinical activity relative to the expected incidence of advanced neoplasia in people with Lynch syndrome.
The clinical findings were supported by broad and durable anti-neoantigen T-cell responses induced by NOUS-209.
These immune responses were further enhanced following annual retreatment.
Marina Udier, PhD, Chief Executive Officer of Nouscom, said people with Lynch syndrome can face lifetime cancer risks of up to 80%, while current management remains focused largely on surveillance and surgery.
She said the financing and emerging NOUS-209 data bring the company closer to developing a preventative treatment approach for this high-risk population.
Göran Ando, MD, Independent Chair of the Board of Nouscom, said the financing reflects investor confidence in the company’s cancer interception strategy and will allow accelerated clinical development of NOUS-209.
The Phase Ib/II study was conducted in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Prevention Clinical Trials Network and the iCAN-PREVENT consortium at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
The ESMO presentation will focus on the safety and immunogenicity of revaccination with NOUS-209 in Lynch syndrome carriers.
NOUS-209 has also received Fast Track designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
