312225-1607b Benefit from our ingenious spray drying technology for your ever-demanding product development process. Reduce your development time when creating new applications, with the market leading solution for R&D Spray Drying and Encapsulation work. Spray drying is the definitive one-step drying process to transform solutions, emulsions, slurries or melts into a dry powder. The liquid droplets are atomised by a specialised nozzle and sprayed into a hot drying gas to form the required particles. Spray drying offers a wide range of applications in fields such as pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, bio-therapeutics as well as the bio-medical sector. Potential applications: • Powders for pulmonary therapy: Generate particle sizes as small as 5 µm with low density for easy delivery into the lung(s). • Microencapsulation: Coating of active materials like peptides and proteins in bio-degradable polymers for controlled release, and improved bioavailability and stability. • Spray drying heat sensitive vaccines: Alternative to the freeze drying process; the produced vaccine-containing powder enables the cells or biological material to maintain high activity. Due to our main product line, consisting of the Mini Spray Dryer B-290, the Nano Spray Dryer B-90, and the Encapsulators B-390 and B-395 Pro, we can offer customers the possibility to produce particles ranging in size from nanometers up to millimeters in diameter. Additionally we also offer many accessories to help increase the number of possible applications. The new accessory for our Spray Dryer line, the Dehumidifier B-296 enables the constant supply of inlet air with the same properties for the obtainment of reproducible results. Furthermore, it is also possible to work continuously with organic solvent and water mixtures when the dehumidifier is used in combination with the Inert Loop B-295. www.buchi.com/Spray-Drying.69.0.html
