SmartRocker™ – Finesse

At Finesse, our goal is to enable customers to quickly and efficiently manufacture innovative drugs and vaccines. The SmartRocker^TM bioreactor, with the SmartPuck^TM sensor equipped SmartBag^TM bioprocess container, brings next generation control and measurement to rocking bioreactor applications. The Finesse SmartRocker provides user-defined speed and angle settings as well as a range of rocking motions from a smooth waveform to minimize shear forces to an aggressive motion that maximizes oxygen transfer. The SmartBag with integrated SmartPuck sensor conforms to USP Class VI specifications and eliminates the need for inserted sensors and their associated complications. The SmartPuck sensor is a compact assembly that is pre-calibrated using Finesse SmartChip technology. The sensor provides accurate, drift-free, in-situ measurements of dissolved oxygen, pH, and temperature. The SmartChip stores the calibration values which are then read by and stored in the Finesse TruBio^® software. The associated SmartBag Reader uses advanced optical technology that minimizes photo-degradation of the active pH and DO sensing elements plus a 316L stainless steel thermal window for highly stable temperature readings. A SmartRocker is controlled by a G3Lab^TM Universal SmartController and Finesse TruBio software.
