Biolog’s GEN III Microbial Identification System offers the most flexible and appropriate system on the market for the identification and tracking of microorganisms found in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. The GEN III panel identifies over 1350 species of GN & GP bacteria without a Gram-stain or up front testing. Sample preparation takes less than one minute from pure culture. A second panel identifies over 600 species of fungi.
Molecular methods such as 16s sequencing and MALDI-TOF provide no information about the properties of each strain. The GEN III panel provides an identification along with information on the metabolism and sensitivity to killing by important chemicals. Biolog’s large database of environmental organisms (especially airborne and human skin bacteria) coupled with the power of RetroSpect 2.0 trending and tracking software allows you to easily generate the reports you need to demonstrate compliance.
